The death of his young gay brother is the tragedy that propels Pip into a street-life spiraling out of control. On his eighteenth birthday, he receives an audiocassette from his grandfather describing his own eighteenth birthday spent in combat in WWII. As Pip struggles to overcome his demons, he finds redemption in the stories of his grandfather, each lost souls within their own generations. Along his path, Pip forms an unlikely alliance with a gay hustler and confides his deepest secret to a local priest (Alan Cumming). This heartfelt and cynical story is also laced with romance, hope, and humor.
