12:00 pm

The first mainstream film from India with a gay man as the protagonist, My Brother...Nikhil is set in a small coastal town between 1989 and 1994. When champion swimmer Nikhil reveals he is HIV-positive, he is unjustly isolated and imprisoned in a sanitarium by the state. A legal battle for his release is waged by his impassioned sister and stalwart lover in this heart-wrenching, beautifully told drama about the fight for human dignity and compassion at a time of incredible prejudice and misunderstanding about AIDS.
